what’s New in 2010

Happy 2010 to one and all! Another year that has just flown by and there are so many new and exciting things heading our way for the Spring and Summer Seasons! In short, when you think “Wedding”, think “Royalty”! Rich deep jewel tones and banquet style seating, add a surprising intimacy to your reception that seems almost unexpected. Have a cocktail style reception with couches, coffee tables, big oversize pillows and arrangements. Lighting and center pieces that not only reflect who you are as a couple but are so different from what we saw last year that your guests will be in awe! Create a full room and not just the tables!
This year, show who you are as a person and as a couple. If you want to wear feathers in your hair, if you want to go retro with a Birdcage veil that only covers your eyes, or if a jeweled headband is more your style, HAVE FUN WITH IT!
2010 is going to be a great year for planning and hosting your special day, there are now more options and so much more freedom to express yourselves. Of course there are more and you are only limited by your own imagination. Combine your family traditions with new ideas. Do you know of a fantastic church choir? Ask them to sing at your ceremony and you will guarantee sniffles and tears!
Think feminine, think pretty. The Wedding Party all dressed in white. In days of Olde not only did the Bride wear white but so did her attendants. This was to try and confuse evil spirits that would want to harm her. Now it’s back and creating beautiful photos and style. A Bride won’t have to worry about trying to match her shoes to her dress this year! Find a terrific pair of your favorite shoes, find the color that suits you and go for it! Don’t want to wear a long veil, but thought you had to? Not this season!
Take the time to sit down with your fiance (and your Wedding Specialist ,if you have one),close your eyes and picture what you want your friends and family to see. What do you want to see when you take that walk down the isle and then into the reception? Make it happen.
